02.10.13 Application of GenIUL technology in the study of the viable bacterial composition of ascites.

Researchers from King’s College London, NERC Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, Health Protection Agency and  Southampton General Hospital published the first application of 16S rRNA gene pyrosequencing and quantitative PCR in conjunction with propidium monoazide sample treatment to characterise the viable bacterial composition of ascites.
